Keep your building in tiptop condition
We believe that the cause of many building issues is poor workmanship; combine that with cheap products and lazy design and your building could be in real trouble. A cheap and nasty ‘slap it up’ mentality seems to be common in the building industry these days, but we believe that quality building stands the test of time.
- Faulty render
- Leaking balconies
- Poor drainage
- Rising damp
- Salt issues
- Window refitting
- Wood rot
“Many new buildings only have a small (or no) step from the inside floor to the outside tile level; this is actually a breach of the Building Code of Australia.”
Specialists in waterproofing
When it comes to maintaining a building’s integrity, it’s vital to ensure the perimeter and internal drainage are carefully designed and built, but often building owners are let down by big promises and shoddy results. In fact, we’re often called upon to fix up inferior work by so-called waterproofing specialists.
Peter is a fully qualified and licenced Waterproofing Technician and has been working with the same Waterproofing and Rising Damp Contractor, Dyco Hydroseal P/L,for over 20 years. They were the first company in Australia to use the injection system for rising damp back in the mid-seventies.
“You might not realise, but when you get a water leak salt is often activated. The salt tends to create blisters on the surface of the wall or floor and will keep growing. Simply scraping the salt off and repainting is a waste of time. Many so-called experts seem unaware of this.”
